The 2-amino 1,3,4-thiadiazole derivatives I (Ar = 4-methoxyphenyl, 3-methoxyphenyl, 2,3-dimethoxyphenyl, 2-methoxy-5-nitrophenyl) showed promising growth inhibition of MDAMB- 231 and MCF-7 cell lines and SIRT1 inhibition in vitro. Indeed, I (Ar = 3-methoxyphenyl) was found to be a potent inhibitor of SIRT1.
